Howdy friends and family of Jason Beard and Poor Man's Whiskey! Welcome
all to my new web page. It's brand new and a "work-in-progress", so please
send us any comments my way.
As many of you know, PMW just recently had a big show opening for the
Eagles at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. Many of you have asked how it
went so I thought I would share it with you. “It was awesome.”
We were actually the pre-show entertainment and on a side stage, so we
didn't get to play on the same stage as the Eagles, nor get to meet them for
that matter, but it was fun none-the-less. A good crowd rallied behind us for
some support with the highlight in the second set. Some great energy
culminated with Josh, Simon and I getting to do some dancing with the
crowd as Tony, Gary, and Chris laid down some fat fiddle tunes. We ended
the set with some solo material by Josh Brough off of his latest album, “The
American Dream.” The crowd really enjoyed this as well as the other
players. I rarely get to get off the stage and listen so it was nice for a change.

I just released my album, “Leaving Home”, this year, so if you like mellow
mood music, have a listen. I think you will like it. It is quite different than the
PMW sound.
Poor Man's Whiskey fans now have a way to get together and chat! On my
home page I have created a “Blog” to talk about shows, songs, ideas, life,
the universe and everything. So jump on and drop a line.
PMW was originally set to go into the studio in August, but it has been
postponed until November. We have a great collection of songs and we
should have our new CD soon!
Congratulations to Tony and Ana Robinson and the new PMW family
member Fiona Robinson.
