Dear friends and family.
Poor Man's Whiskey just finished up two fun filled days playing at the Hardly
Strictly Bluegrass Festival. What an awesome time! We got to meet a lot of
really nice people and saw some amazing music. It was a good reminder to
keep practicing. If anybody has any pictures of their experience at HSBF
please send them and I will post them up. For those who missed it, it was
an all time classic. We dressed up as convicts with chains around our
ankles (quite painful I might add) and paraded around the park picking up
trash. We then were led on stage by the Warden Hellman for a short but
rocking set followed by an acoustic jam of Cripple Creek with Warren on
banjo.
Check out the pics at StrictlyBluegrass.com.
We have a few gigs coming up so check out the schedule. We are going into
the studio to record our third album in November so we will be working out
the original material at the shows. It will be a good opportunity to see the
songs develop before they get recorded. Come on out.
On the family side I would like to welcome my newest member of the family,
Caroline Daisy Beard. I think she has my eyes. She was born on Sept. 13th,
2005.
I'm already working on a new instrumental piece for her!
Take care and many smiles, Jason Beard
